I am a little flower, planted kindly by the stream
Where light gives life to moments felt
Beneath my soft petals, golden pink
The gentle flow of shared breath,
The water at my side
The flowing ever going
Towards the sun high in love’s sky
Turn my face towards the sun,
Like the bold and beautiful yellow-framed one
So I may forget my shame and reflect the name
Of your highest majesty, the royal One who planted me
Bathe me in glorious sunlight, drown me in holy waters
That cleanse and remove every debris, the sorrows of past days
Fluttering away, away, gone into the breeze
And sing, my soul! The chorus of angels
The advancing notes of victory
A freedom song, a jolly one
The other flowers outstretch their petals
Beyond the shade, into the sun
To receive, like me
The glorious riches of being called “free”
